Obtain Copies of Business Documents

All documents filed with the Secretary of State’s Office are publicly available and can be viewed and only be obtained online:

1. File Stamp Copies: A non-certified copy of any document filed with the Kansas Secretary of State. File-stamped copies are available without a fee. The document will show a file stamp at the top of the document showing the date the document was filed with the Kansas Secretary of State.
2. Certified Copies: A copy of any document filed with the Kansas Secretary of State with a certification stamp conclusively establishing as a matter of law that the original document is on file with the Kansas Secretary of State. The certification will appear on the right-hand side of each page of the document.
3. Certificate of Good Standing: This is a certificate establishing that the business is current with all required filings with the Secretary of State. The certificate will show the current name of the registered business, the formation date in Kansas, the state of domestication, and is certified by the Kansas Secretary of State with the date that it was issued.
